Preparing to hit the road.

My bags are packed, the laptop is packed, the cameras are charging, and 24 hours from now I'll be about to have dinner in Little Rock with a friend of mine from high school. I'm hoping to leave around 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning at the latest for the 8 hour drive. Then Monday afternoon I'll be driving 2 hours south into the depressed Delta to visit my mother for a couple of days. Wish me luck. These trips are few and far between and they stress me out miserably. Nevertheless, I'd rather drive than fly. And the time savings from flying is negligible anyway since a change of planes in Dallas or Houston is essential.

I'll try and do some blogging while away, and expect some pictures.
