Our house smells like India and Africa
Last night we did our soul food routine. I went out to the garden and picked collard greens, about 3 months later than I normally do, due to the odd winter we had.
Coupled with my mother's frozen purple hull peas which I brought back from Arkansas, and some macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and a veggie patty, we had a fine meal.
Tonight txrad made his bengali dal, and he didn't burn the spices this time. It smells WONDERFUL. And tastes equally good.
He will post the recipe if anyone is interested. I suggested if we decide to sell our house we should list it in some local Indian publication and then put this dish on the stove prior to the open house.
We would sell in no time.
